Launching the new Tweens, Teens and Beyond Linky

I am so happy to be joining with the amazing Nicky at Not Just the 3 of Us and Jo at Mother of Teenagers to launch a brand new linky all about Tweens, Teens & Beyond. I am a Mum of three tweens/teens myself and I love reading other bloggers’ experiences, opinions and thoughts about this fascinating stage of parenting.

This is a first linky for all three of us and we have done our best to rise to the challenge! We are hugely grateful for all the behind-the-scenes advice we have received from other bloggers and what we have learned from participating in other great linky communities.

Our linky will cover blog posts relating to children in their last year of primary school, the transition to secondary school and beyond. Yes, even as far as having young adult kids in university which is what happened to me last year!

Many blog posts about tweens and teens relate to the highs and lows of our children’s growing independence but there is a hidden story here. As their independence grows we, the parents, find the emotional space to redefine our own roles, reflect on what we want to do next and embark on some good old self-discovery. We would love for our linky to include stories about the magic of mid-life too.

It is important to us that our linky is as inclusive as possible so it is by no means limited to parents. We welcome all posts relating to midlife.

The linky will be launching on Tuesday 7th March at 10.00 and will run weekly thereafter.

Full details of the linky and its rules will be posted on 7th March so watch this space and make sure you are following us on our social media accounts.

If you would like to be kept up to date with what’s going on here at Tweens, Teens & Beyond please let us know in the comments below and we will add you to our mailing list and social media contacts.

Hi! This is a great idea. I’m not *quite* there with my daughter- she is Year 4. But I think the posts on this linky will be a little more relevant than those for younger children. So I’d love to join in and also, I’ve never done a linky before!! So am definitely interested (and may need a little guidance LOL). xx

Great idea! My boys are 8 and 6 – a bit too little to be Tweens, but we’re so beyond the whole baby stuff! Good luck with it x #TwinklyTuesday

This sounds like such a fantastic idea for a linky and I think that there is a real gap in Blogland for it! I’m still firmly in the pre-school era for now, but I can imagine that the tween and teen years will bring a million questions and challenges. I would imagine that a linky around this subject will be a massive support and inspiration to so many people! Thanks for sharing this with #DreamTeam and good luck with it lovely. If we can help with anything please just shout. x
